My work is the correlation between devastation and the rejuvenation of life. It focuses on the strain between structure and the loss of control. The decay of what was once stable, having been reclaimed by the organic nature of the world.
Throughout my work is inspired by the dilemmas we face, the division of time and the inevitability of mortality. Denial. Mans role. How Man is so distinct and distant, yet so akin to the laws of the animal kingdom. The necessity to persevere, reproduce and gain territory. And at the core, the precarious balance of how to perform between panic and peace, violence and nurture, greed and necessity.
